Christmas Temptation
A normal day and you
Receive a package from a
Dear friend
You open the box and notice that
There are Christmas
Presents inside
A big smile appears across your face
It quickly disappears
When you notice a note enclosed
Saying
"Don't open the presents until Christmas"
So at first you put them under
The Christmas tree and walk away
Each time you enter the living room
You can't help but look at all
The pretty presents
All wrapped up in nice paper
You say to yourself
Should I or shouldn't I?
Nah and you walk away
Few minutes later you find yourself
Walking by the Christmas tree
Where all the gifts are
You accidently bump into it
Enough so that the paper rips
You say to yourself
Well the paper is ripped so I have to
Open it now
So you'll open the gift and
You're like WOW!
So you then get up and walk away
Saying to yourself
"I'll open the rest on Christmas Day"
You continue your business
Through out the day
You later then find yourself back
In front of the tree
Looking at all the gifts under there
You then look around
As though to check to see if anyone
Is around
You begin to reach for another
Gift
When you suddenly hear a voice
Saying
"You better not do it"
You look over your shoulder
And there is an image of your friend
Saying
"Don't do it you promised"
As your friend is tapping feet and
Shaking the finger at you
So you get up and walk away
Poof your friend is off your
Shoulder
You go into the other room
Doing other things to get your mind
Off the gifts in the other room
But then suddenly
You hear another voice
Saying
"Come to me, open me up, I'm calling you"
"You know you want to"
"Come on, open, open,open"
"Your name is written all over me"
So you walk back to the tree
Right away you look at your shoulder
Thinking your friend is going
To reappear
Then you say to yourself
"Nah my friend wouldn't do that to me again"
Shaking your head
You reach for the next gift
You then suddenly jump into the air
Being that you reached for the gift
You got shocked
Talking to yourself you say
"No way"
Thought that it was just a fluke
Or something like static electricity
So you reach again
BUZZZZZZ
Then you say to yourself
"My friend doesn't talk to me this time"
"Instead shocks the shit out of me"
You then go and sit on the couch
Contemplating how to open the next gift
Or just letting it go and do as
Requested of your friend
Temptation is so great around this time of
Year
